Coinplex’s Web of Domains
Coinplex operates through multiple domains:
- cplexpres.com – First registered in August 2023, with a private update as of July 13, 2024.
- h5.coinplex.ai – Registered with fake details.
- coinplex.cc – Registered on September 23, 2024, with bogus information.
Coinplex’s .CC domain was registered through the Chinese registrar Alibaba (Singapore), further raising suspicions. The source code of Coinplex’s support page reveals it runs on the Meiqia platform, a Chinese software company based in Beijing. This suggests that whoever is running Coinplex likely has ties to China.
Lack of Products and Services
Coinplex doesn’t offer any actual products or services. The only thing affiliates can market is the Coinplex affiliate membership itself, which is another concern. In a legitimate business, there should be tangible products or services that customers can purchase.
The Coinplex Compensation Plan
Affiliates invest Tether (USDT) in exchange for daily returns:
- G1 – Invest 20 USDT to earn 2 USDT/day.
- G2 – Invest 100 USDT to earn 10.1 USDT/day.
- G3 – Invest 300 USDT to earn 30.9 USDT/day.
- G4 – Invest 800 USDT to earn 84 USDT/day.
- G5 – Invest 1600 USDT to earn 172.8 USDT/day.
- G6 – Invest 3200 USDT to earn 355.2 USDT/day.
- G7 – Invest 6400 USDT to earn 736 USDT/day.
- G8 – Invest 12,800 USDT to earn 1523.2 USDT/day.
Referral commissions are paid out across three levels:

The “Click a Button” Scheme
Coinplex’s approach is another variation of the familiar “click a button” Ponzi scheme disguised as quantitative trading. Affiliates are encouraged to log in and click a button—the more they’ve invested, the more clicks required. The platform claims these clicks generate trading revenue, which is then shared with affiliates. But let’s be real—random people clicking a button doesn’t lead to trading profits.
The Harsh Truth About Coinplex
In reality, the only thing happening when you click that button is the recycling of new investments to pay off earlier participants. Coinplex, like other “click a button” scams, depends entirely on new people signing up. Once recruitment slows, the whole scheme collapses, and the majority of participants lose their money.
A Warning About Coinplex Review
Coinplex joins a long list of Ponzi schemes that have emerged since late 2021. The blueprint is familiar—make affiliates perform simple tasks for a promise of returns. Other examples of collapsed schemes using this ruse include SDT Quant, Pitrex, and TOST. Most of these scams only last a few weeks or months before vanishing without notice, leaving investors in the lurch.
The Coinplex Bigger Picture
The same group of scammers, believed to be organized crime syndicates from China, continue to run these schemes from various Southeast Asian countries. In 2024, the US Department of Treasury sanctioned Cambodian politician Ly Yong Phat due to his links with these operations. His companies allegedly provide shelter for scammers in Cambodia, but they operate globally.
Takeaway: If a company is hiding who runs it and offers a too-good-to-be-true investment opportunity that involves clicking a button, it’s wise to stay far away. The math behind these Ponzi schemes ensures that most participants lose money.
