These operations are run out of scam factories — literal compounds where trafficked workers are forced to run MLM crypto Ponzi scams.

In September 2024, the US Treasury sanctioned Cambodian politician Ly Yong Phat for harboring Chinese-run scam operations.

In early 2025, Thailand and China launched raids that freed over 10,000 hostages.

By March, reports confirmed over 100,000 people were still trapped in Myanmar scam centers, many controlled by the Karen National Army (KNA), led by Chit Thu.

On May 5, Chit Thu and his sons were sanctioned by the U.S., UK, and EU for running these “cyberscam” operations.

Finance AI is almost certainly one of these operations, funneling global investor money into criminal networks that use force, deception, and fraud to stay afloat.
