Scammers Resurrect Traffic Monsoon Ponzi (Again) — Because Apparently, History Needs a Rerun
- MLM News

Some scams just refuse to die — they just slap on a new domain, an AI-generated CEO, and call it a “revival.”
Welcome back to the circus: Traffic Monsoon is back from the grave. Again.
The infamous ad-click Ponzi that collapsed nearly a decade ago has been resurrected for the second time, proving once and for all that the internet never runs out of gullible investors or bad ideas.

Now back to the Traffic Monsoon 2.0 Review…
The Ghost of Ponzi Past

The original Traffic Monsoon operated from the domain trafficmonsoon.com, a now-disabled relic of early MLM-era madness.
Run by Charles Scoville, the scheme promised investors outrageous returns by “buying adpacks” — $1 ad purchases that supposedly paid up to $50 each through magical profit-sharing.
In reality, it was a simple cash-recycling scam that collapsed the moment new money dried up.
Scoville’s downfall wasn’t subtle, either. The man went off the deep end publicly before being convicted of attempted child sexual abuse in 2018.
He pled guilty that November, was sentenced in early 2019, and disappeared from public life soon after.
So, no — Scoville isn’t behind this new reboot. But his digital ghost certainly is.
The 2025 Resurrection
On September 5th, 2025, a new domain — trafficmonsoon.org — was registered by anonymous scammers.
And just like a bad reboot no one asked for, the site relaunched the same tired Ponzi pitch:
💸 $1 “adpack” investments paying up to $50
🤝 25% referral commission for new recruits
🧠 AI-generated CEO “Adrian Gale Mercer,” a digital doppelgänger of Scoville himself
Yes, you read that right — they literally used an AI to generate a fake CEO that looks like Scoville.
Same suit, same pose, different crime.
If you visit the .ORG domain (don’t), it’s a malware trap — BehindMLM confirmed it’s now hosting auto-download trojans disguised as promotional banners.
So not only will it steal your money… it might hijack your computer too.
Truly a two-for-one deal in fraud innovation.
Meet “Adrian Gale Mercer” — The Deepfake CEO

The scammers didn’t even try to be subtle.
“Mercer” looks suspiciously like Scoville — same face structure, same grin — except it’s been AI-polished into a “trustworthy” businessman archetype.
According to the site, Mercer “founded Traffic Monsoon 2.0 to bring transparency and opportunity back to the community.”
Sure.
And Bernie Madoff just launched a “DeFi Yield Fund” from the afterlife.
Scoville’s Shadow

For the record, Charles Scoville’s name still triggers legal nausea in the U.S. and the U.K.
After his conviction, Scoville’s assets were investigated, his company collapsed under the SEC’s 2016 lawsuit, and the site was officially shut down.
There’s been zero evidence of his involvement since.
But scammers are milking his old name for all it’s worth — because nostalgia sells, even in crime.
These copycats are banking on one thing: people remembering Traffic Monsoon’s name, not its reputation.
Déjà Vu From the MLM Dumpster
If this scam sounds familiar, that’s because it is.
In 2022, scammers already tried rebooting Traffic Monsoon under the same domain.
It died quickly after a few hundred victims realized they’d fallen for a rerun.
Now, three years later, it’s back again — same name, same adpack “business model,” and the same empty promise of “profit sharing.”
The only new addition?
A fake CEO who could pass for a mid-tier motivational speaker at a crypto convention.
Global Copycats and the Australian Connection
The reboot might not be isolated.
Just last month, Australian authorities issued a fraud warning against another Ponzi reboot — Vortic United — which appears to use identical script formatting and payout language as the new Traffic Monsoon site.
Translation:
It’s likely the same network of scammers is behind both.
That means this isn’t just nostalgia fraud — it’s a coordinated multi-site MLM scam ring operating across continents.
The goal?
Recycle old brands that still have SEO juice and old victims who never got their refunds.
The “Adpack” That Keeps on Giving
Let’s call it what it is: Traffic Monsoon 2.0 is the same rotten business model with a fresh coat of malware.
The formula never changes:
-
Deposit $1 (or $10, or $100) into a “shared advertising” platform.
-
Watch fake “daily returns” accumulate in your dashboard.
-
Recruit your friends for a 25% referral bonus.
-
Lose your money when withdrawals magically “pause for maintenance.”
It’s the MLM version of Groundhog Day.
Final Verdict

The Traffic Monsoon reboot proves two eternal truths:
-
Scammers never stop recycling.
-
Investors never stop hoping the next Ponzi “might be different this time.”
This one isn’t.
The fake CEO’s AI smile can’t hide the same old scam structure underneath.
And if you’re tempted to “give it another shot,” just remember: the original CEO’s in prison, the new one doesn’t exist, and the website will probably steal your passwords before it steals your money.
Different domain. Same scam. New malware.
If you see anyone promoting Traffic Monsoon “2.0” — report it. Then send them a reminder that nostalgia is not an investment strategy.
