Botswana Issues Warning Against Prestige Wealth Investments

Prestige Wealth Investments (PWI), a cryptocurrency investment company operating through a multilevel marketing structure, has received another regulatory warning, this time from Botswana.

The warning was issued by Botswana’s Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) on September 5, 2026, and attracted renewed attention on October 29.

The regulator cautioned the public to exercise extreme care when dealing with Prestige Wealth Investments (Pty) Ltd.

According to NBFIRA, promotional material for PWI had been circulating in Botswana, including advertising for an event in Gaborone.

The regulator made its position clear.

Prestige Wealth Investments is not licensed or authorized by NBFIRA to conduct regulated financial services business in Botswana.

The warning adds to concerns about the company’s investment activities and regulatory status.

Now, let’s dig in.

What Did Botswana’s Financial Regulator Say?

NBFIRA stated that Prestige Wealth Investments was not registered as a financial services provider.

It also confirmed that the company had no authorization from the regulator to solicit, receive, or manage public funds in Botswana.

The warning specifically addressed cryptocurrency, virtual asset, and investment opportunities associated with PWI.

This distinction matters because an investment company’s promotional activities can create an impression of legitimacy even when it lacks the necessary authorization.

An event, business presentation, or professional-looking website does not establish that a company is legally permitted to offer regulated financial services.

NBFIRA’s warning is a regulatory caution, not a court judgment establishing that every allegation against PWI has been proven.

Nevertheless, it is significant information for anyone considering investing.

Who Runs Prestige Wealth Investments?

Prestige Wealth Investments is associated with Kamogelo Moral Monareng, also known as KM Monareng.

Monareng has previously been linked to another investment operation called MMFT Global.

MMFT Global promoted trading-related investment opportunities and attracted regulatory concerns in South Africa.

In 2019, South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) issued a warning concerning MMFT Global.

The operation subsequently collapsed, according to the reported history.

Monareng was later reported to have relocated to Dubai.

These earlier developments are relevant because investors should examine the track records of individuals associated with financial opportunities.

However, allegations concerning earlier businesses should not automatically be treated as judicial findings against an individual.

South Africa Also Warned About PWI

Botswana is not the first jurisdiction to raise concerns about Prestige Wealth Investments.

South Africa’s FSCA reportedly issued a warning concerning the company on May 25, 2026.

Despite that warning, the supplied reporting indicates that PWI continued attracting promotional interest in South Africa.

Multiple regulatory warnings deserve attention, especially when an investment business promotes cryptocurrency trading and recruitment-based opportunities.

Investors should independently check whether the company is authorized in their own jurisdiction before transferring funds.

Where Is Prestige Wealth Investments Attracting Attention?

Website traffic estimates suggest that PWI has attracted substantial interest in Africa.

According to the supplied Similarweb figures, Prestige Wealth Investments recorded approximately 111,700 monthly website visits in September 2026.

The leading traffic sources were:

  • Kenya: approximately 71%
  • South Africa: approximately 28%

These figures describe estimated website visits, not confirmed investor numbers or deposit volumes.

Nevertheless, they indicate that most measured online activity was concentrated in those two countries.

The supplied reporting does not identify a Kenyan regulatory enforcement action against PWI as of October 29, 2026.

The absence of a reported warning should not be interpreted as official approval.

Is Prestige Wealth Investments a Ponzi Scheme?

Prestige Wealth Investments has been accused in the supplied reporting of operating an MLM cryptocurrency Ponzi-style investment model.

The concerns include claims surrounding trading activity, recruitment incentives, and the legitimacy of its investment offerings.

A Ponzi scheme generally relies on money from newer investors to pay earlier participants rather than generating sustainable profits from genuine business activity.

However, the Botswana warning establishes a specific regulatory issue: PWI lacks NBFIRA authorization to conduct regulated financial services in Botswana.

It does not, by itself, establish a court finding that PWI operates a Ponzi scheme.

Investors should distinguish between documented regulatory warnings and broader allegations requiring further evidence.

What Should Potential Investors Do?

Anyone considering Prestige Wealth Investments should verify its legal authorization directly with the appropriate financial regulator.

They should also request independently audited financial statements, evidence of genuine trading activity, and clear information about who controls customer funds.

Avoid relying solely on promotional presentations, testimonials, or promised returns.

If you have already invested, preserve transaction records, account screenshots, and communications.

Be particularly cautious of requests for additional payments to unlock funds or guarantee withdrawals.

Final Thoughts: Another Regulatory Warning for PWI

Prestige Wealth Investments now faces reported regulatory concerns in both Botswana and South Africa.

Botswana’s NBFIRA has explicitly warned that PWI is not authorized to solicit, receive, or manage public funds in the country.

With substantial online interest reportedly coming from Kenya and South Africa, the company’s activities warrant continued scrutiny.

For investors, the lesson is straightforward.

A company’s popularity, promotional events, or international presence do not replace proper regulatory authorization and independently verified financial operations.

True Wealth Is Found in Jesus Christ

Before closing, I want to share something far more important than any financial opportunity.

Jesus Christ.

People pursue investments because they want a better future for themselves and their families. There is nothing wrong with wanting to provide for those we love.

But Jesus reminds us in Mark 8:36 that gaining the entire world means nothing if we lose our souls.

Our greatest need is not financial wealth. It is reconciliation with God.

The Bible teaches that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23).

But God, in His incredible love, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us.

Jesus lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He is alive!

Through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, we can receive forgiveness and eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8–9 reminds us that salvation is God’s gift of grace through faith, not something we earn through our own works.

If you haven’t placed your faith in Jesus Christ, I encourage you to read the Gospel of John.

Discover who Jesus is, why He came, and what His death and resurrection mean for you.

Turn to Him, trust Him as your Lord and Savior, and receive the gift of salvation.

Financial opportunities come and go, but Jesus Christ is eternal.

The greatest treasure we could ever receive is eternal life through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
