As of now, the breach remains unverified. However, the seller, “Aleksey_Petrov”, asserts having accessed approximately 32,000 TranzactCard accounts. The compromised data allegedly includes sensitive information such as email addresses, usernames (for DBOs and customers), credit card details, details of purchased gift cards, phone numbers, passwords, IP addresses, and more.

Scope of the Breach

This security incident’s scope is further amplified by “Aleksey_Petrov’s” claim of possessing around 48,000 credit card numbers with their respective CVVs, linked to the breached TranzactCard accounts. An unverified sample of this data was reportedly posted on JustPaste, highlighting the potential scale and severity of this breach.

The company’s silence is notable, especially since their last press release dates back to October 2023, and their last official Facebook post was on January 23rd. Furthermore, attempts to access TranzactCard’s official Twitter profile via their website link lead to a non-existent page, raising concerns about their post-breach communication strategy.
