TGI AG Collapses as Trust Gold International Launches Amid Ongoing Fraud Investigation
- MLM News
- August 5, 2026
On July 31, 2026, Helmut Kaltenegger’s TGI AG officially shut down operations, but rather than bringing the story to an end, it appears to have immediately begun again under a new name.
The same day TGI AG announced it was closing its doors, investors were introduced to a replacement company called Trust Gold International Ltd.
For anyone who has followed MLM investment schemes over the years, the pattern is familiar.
When one company collapses under regulatory pressure, a “new opportunity” suddenly appears promising a fresh start—often with many of the same people, the same promises, and the same business model.
Now before I dive in do you want a FREE video by my good friend DAN on how you can pull in 3% to 10% per month on a powerful yet simple crypto cash flow strategy.
Not to mention Paul who will show you how to make money online.

WATCH THAT RIGHT HERE AND START WINNING
You never have to worry about being exit scammed on ever again!
Let’s dig in.
Regulators Were Already Closing In

TGI AG operated from Liechtenstein while being controlled by Austrian businessman Helmut Kaltenegger.
The company promoted an investment opportunity supposedly backed by gold mining operations in Ghana and Sierra Leone.
Authorities weren’t convinced.
Austria issued a securities fraud warning against TGI AG in April 2026.
Germany’s financial regulator, BaFin, also banned the company nationwide that same month.
Then in June 2026, German authorities ordered Kaltenegger to refund all German investors.
Whether those refunds were ever made remains unclear.
Meanwhile, prosecutors in Liechtenstein launched a criminal investigation and raided TGI AG’s offices after obtaining search warrants.
Investigators Found Something Missing
TGI AG told investors their money was funding gold mining projects in Africa.
According to investigators, the evidence reportedly told a very different story.
Authorities allegedly found little or no evidence that investor money had actually been sent to Ghana or Sierra Leone to purchase gold.
Instead, investigators reportedly uncovered a money trail leading through Dubai using Austrian trustee and construction company accounts.
That discovery significantly undermined the company’s core investment narrative.
TGI AG Shuts Down… and Trust Gold Appears Overnight
On July 31, TGI AG posted a message announcing it was ending operations.
At the very same time, investors were introduced to Trust Gold International Ltd.
Existing investors were presented with two choices:
- Transfer their investment into the new company.
- Request a refund.
At first glance, offering refunds sounds encouraging.
Until investors read the fine print.
The Refund Catch
Anyone requesting their money back was informed that withdrawals could take six to eight weeks.
Whenever a collapsed investment scheme suddenly needs several months to process withdrawals, investors should proceed with caution.
If the funds were readily available, lengthy delays would generally be unnecessary.
Instead, these types of delays often buy time while company operators determine their next move.
Whether refunds will actually be paid remains to be seen.
Trust Gold International Looks Familiar

Trust Gold International’s website was reportedly registered only one day before TGI AG shut down.
Helmut Kaltenegger is listed as founder and owner.
The company also introduces new executives while simultaneously establishing new corporate entities in Mauritius.
Mauritius has become a common jurisdiction for offshore companies due to its favorable tax environment.
However, simply registering a company in another country does not provide authorization to offer investment products.
Registration is not the same thing as regulatory approval.
The Business Model Hasn’t Really Changed
Although the branding has changed, the underlying investment pitch appears remarkably similar.
Trust Gold International continues promoting gold-related investments while advertising passive monthly returns of up to 4% over 24 months.
Curiously, the website also admits that the gold bars displayed are merely illustrative and are not actually available for purchase.
That statement raises an obvious question:
If investors cannot actually purchase the gold being advertised, what exactly are they investing in?
Germany Is Still Off Limits… Or Is It?
One interesting detail appears in Trust Gold International’s website disclaimer.
The company excludes numerous countries from participation.
Noticeably absent from that list are Austria and Germany.
That is surprising considering both countries have already taken regulatory action against TGI AG, and Germany has ordered investor refunds.
Changing the company name does not erase previous regulatory findings.
The Investigation Continues
Authorities in Liechtenstein have reportedly identified approximately €31.3 million in investor losses.
Investigators also allege that at least €5.9 million was personally misappropriated by Helmut Kaltenegger and his wife.
The criminal investigation remains ongoing.
Whether additional enforcement action follows now that Trust Gold International has launched remains to be seen.
Final Thoughts
History shows that fraudulent investment schemes rarely disappear quietly.
Instead, many simply change names, introduce new branding, relocate offshore, and encourage existing victims to roll their money into the next opportunity.
Changing a logo does not change the business model.
Changing the company name does not erase regulatory findings.
Wisdom requires us to test every opportunity carefully before trusting our finances to anyone promising easy passive income.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to walk in truth, honesty, and integrity.
Proverbs 14:15 reminds us:
“The simple believe every word, but the prudent consider well his steps.”
That wisdom applies just as much to investing as it does every other area of life.
More importantly, financial security can never replace eternal security.
Money comes and goes.
Companies rise and fall.
Markets boom and collapse.
But Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Every one of us has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard.
The wonderful news is that Jesus Christ came into this world, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again three days later.
Salvation is not something we earn.
It is God’s free gift through faith in Jesus Christ.
If you have never trusted Him as your Lord and Savior, today is the day.
Turn from your sins.
Believe in Him.
Receive His forgiveness and eternal life.
No investment opportunity can promise what only Jesus Christ freely gives.
